Brave women like Rifqa Bary refuse to give up their freedom of choice in religion. Rifqa was only seventeen when she became a national celebrity for leaving Islam as a convert to Christianity and fleeing her Muslim community in Ohio in fear of retribution from her family.  This story ends happily – Rifqa became independent when she turned eighteen, and now leads her life as she chooses but – it was a close thing for over two years.
